Capo 5
Just a slight change to the pre-chorus part from the other capo 5 version.

I need to get my story straight

my lover she's waiting for me
just across the bar

asking 'bout a scar

but between the drinks and subtle things
the holes in my apologies

you know I'm trying hard to take it back
Pre-chorus
Dm Em
so if by the time the bar closes
Am G F
and you feel like falling down
F G
I'll carry you home

Now I know that I'm not
all that you got

We can burn brighter
C G

C G
Just carry me home tonight
C F
Carry me home tonight
C G
Just carry me home tonight
(the following is sung during the part above)
[The world is on my side
I have no reason to run
So will someone come and carry me home tonight
The angels never arrived
but I can hear the choir
so will someone come and carry me home]
Chorus [2x]
C
Tonight
B/Am Am
We are young
F
So let's set the world on fire
We can burn brighter
C G
than the sun
Pre-chorus
Dm Em
so if by the time the bar closes
Am G F
and you feel like falling down
F G
I'll carry you home
Looked very very similar to the one on e-chord website. But still its wrong.
This is alright, but there are some mistakes. Worth learning if you can make the alterations necessary as you go.
I would just like to say that in the chorus part "we are young" it should be Em not B/Am, and in the 2 Verse it should be "so lets raise a toast", not "so lets raise a cup" the rest is good, it sounds ok.
