Subject: TAB: Maggot Brain by Funkadelic

     Maggot Brain
     by Funkadelic
     from the LP MAGGOT BRAIN
     from: Peter Mosinskis

heavy, heavy, HEAVY metal...from Eddie Hazel. This album has some
other heavy grind on it (check out "Super Stupid"). Flea and former
RHCP guitarist John Frusciante called Funkadelic "heavier than Black
Sabbath" in a Guitar Player magazine interview a few years ago.

Intro words: Mother Earth is pregnant for the third time, for y'all
have knocked her up. I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the
universe, and was not offended, for I knew I had to rise above it all,
or drown in my own SHIT...

The arpeggio guitar is clean Strat (I think), neck pickup (or center
and neck), and turn the tone control down to 5 or so? The lead is
probably Strat as well, running a distortion or fuzzbox --> wah -->
delay (or reverb or both), something like that.

     ARPEGGIOS-- Em, D, Bm, C

     B---------------------8-----------------------8--------------------|
     G---------------9--------9----------------9-----9------------------|
     D----------9-----------------9--------9-------------9--------------|
     A-----7---------------------------7--------------------------------|
     E------------------------------------------------------------------|

     e------------------------------------------------------------------|
     B---------------------7-----------------------7--------------------|
     G---------------7--------7----------------7-----7------------------|
     D----------7-----------------7--------7-------------7--------------|
     A-----5---------------------------5--------------------------------|
     E------------------------------------------------------------------|

     e--------------------------------------------------------------------|
     B--------------------------------------------------------------------|

     D------------9-------9-------------------9----------9----------------|
     A--------9----------------9--------9----------------------9----------|

     A--------10----------------10-------10----------------------10--------|
     E-----8--------------------------8------------------------------------|

...then solo like crazy over E pentatonic. The arpeggio is a lot of
fun to jam to. Go, Maggot Brain...
