This is my acoustic rendition of "Redemption In The Verse" by Go Radio. Go Radio plays
in Drop C tuning but this song works well with chords if you slap a capo on the third
fret. I feel like the "La di da's" at the end sound best if you use barre chords for the
F and slide up to a barred G chord. Enjoy!
Capo III Fret
C F
Today a daughter will hug her father and ask whens Jesus coming back
C
He wonders should he even bother with the words
A F
Cause all he got her in the world was just a box filled with regret
C
It played a song that sang redemption in the verse
A C
See since the day the sunshine left it left its marks on both his wrists
F G C
And pulled the center of his heart out by a noose
A C
G A
See without the sun you just can't grow into the height that you belong
F G C
You stay on the ground to die with way to much to prove
F
And so let's all keep singing the same song
C
Keep singing if you're wrong
F
Oh and chins up its all gonna clear up
C
There's a place where we belong
C C, C C
C F
I see a couple at a diner just there for coffee and a talk
C
Seems like they've been there for forever when the talk began to stop
A C
And I watched for hours from the corner and they continued down the block
F G C
To try to pinpoint every second when my heart began to stop
F
And so let's all keep singing the same song
C
Keep singing if you're wrong
F
Oh God and chins up it's all gonna clear up
C
There's a place where we belong
A
You see the sky can't be this gray forever
C G A
Just fill your head with something clever
F G
And clear your throat and scream into the fog
C C C C C C C C
La di da da, la di da da. La di da da, la di da da ah
F F F F F F F F G
La di da da, la di da da. La di da da, la di da da ah
almost perfect, the only thing is that the A sounds better being an Am!
