Artist: Good Old War
Song: Weak Man
Album: Only Way To Be Alone
Email: mcarrico87@gmail.com

Tuning: Standard (EADGBe)

Note: I got the chord structure from the Circa Survive Board here
(http://circaboard.com/lofiversion/index.php?t5557.html). It was posted by
someone with the screen name Katie, so huge thanks to her because I was
having trouble figuring it out. There are other GOW songs posted there that
are at least partially complete. I worked out the intro and fill myself.

   D7 D7/F D7/F# E7 E7 Am/G G/F B7

D|---------|-------2-----------0-2-------| X4
A|-0-2b3-0-|---0-3---0---------------3-0-|
E|---------|-----------------------------|

Fill: (6 beats)
It’s not exact, but it fits the key and the beat. I tried to show the timing.

Verse:
Am, G, D7

Chorus:
Dm, E7, Am, Am/G, D7/F#
Dm, E7, Am
Dm, E7, Am, D7/F, D7/F#
G, G/F, Em
C, B7...

Before Bridge: D7 (instead of C, B7)
Bridge: G, Em, C, D, D7

Solo: Play intro riff under solo (I think it's 12 times) and end on Am. I
have not worked out the solo. I don't know if I will bother.

Lyrics:
I put the number of beats because the chord structure has an odd feel to it,
in my opinion. If that is confusing just ignore it and feel it out.

[Verse 1]
Am (16 beats)
Let the music breathe upon my face
G (4 beats) Am (8 beats)
Every step of the way
                      G (two beats) [Fill 1]
Through the anguish I make
   Am (8 beats)
Back the rest I made
    G (4 beats) Am (12 beats)
I'm seeing you less clear and blue
Like lovers do
D7 (8 beats)
You should too

[Chorus]
I am not playing a game with you
To show that I can get ahead
Just like any weak man would do
When he's losing

[Verse 2]
When life's confusing way to bring you down
Has you got you pissing yourself
While you're thinking out loud
Try and figure out the best approach to being true
Like lovers do, you should, you should too

[Chorus]
I am not playing a game with you
To show that I can get ahead
Just like any weak man would do
When he's losing

[Bridge] (Anthony Green)
You can't just give it all away
This is all we have saved
There is nothing here between us
This is not what we had planned
There's so much more
Got nothing without each other
We've got nothing

[Chorus]
I am not playing a game with you
To show that I can get ahead
Just like any weak man would do
When he's losing

[Solo]

I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do.

~ Michael

I'm positive that all of the Em7s in this are supposed to be E7s. Right? It sounds a lot better to me.

Yeah, you're right they're definitely E7's. Thanks for the correction.
