Every street is
C#m
Dark and folding

Well that's the chance we take
B
To be always working
C#m
Reaching out for
E Ebm
A hand that we can't see

                  E
Everybody's got a hold on hope
         F# B G#m
It's the last thing that’s holding me

B C#m
Invitation to the last dance
E Ebm

One another

Animal mother

She opens up for free

There hides the cowboy

His campfire flickering

Hey, thanks for the great chords. They really helped me out. Thought you might like to add the solo, too. It's short and easy and would fill out this transcription. This website does a great job on the solo tab, which he'd probably just let you use, if you give him credit. His email address is at the top of the page. http://www.gbv.com/chords/holdonhope.html

One Small Thing
I would Suggest Playing B
As A Barr Chord At 7th Frett
and only putting one finger on the actual "barr" of the chord
instead of using whole finger use your finger that's next to your thumb and placing it at 7thfret string E like so...

B
.7th
e------------|
b------------|
g----8-------|
D------9-----|
A------9-----|
E--7---------|

It sounds so much more open and in keeping with the song.

Also Play C#m in this way But Only place your finger on A
and keep the barr chord open

Minor corrections just to keep the tone

P.s You can use this on all the chords which you can put into a barr chord
