Note: in the chorus there sounds like there could be another guitar
part but I dont know what he's playing. Some tapping or hammer
pulloff thing.

If you watch them live, they play standard tuning or drop D, not completely retuned on every string like you have. They start off with a B chord, then play low E 7-9-10- A string 7 E string 9-10 for the intro.

Seen them live twice now and I know they are tuned down

so what if the live was in standard. the studio recording was done in B. i know many of bands that do this. studio is always tuned different than live... dont know why but w/e
