I put a little twist of my own version at the end of the chorus. I had a little
trouble distinguishing F and Fmaj7 apart, I tried my best. Enjoy!
Tuning: Standard
Capo: none
Intro: C, Fmaj7
Verse 1:
C
I’m just a star
Fmaj7
I’m just a piece of light
C
On my own
Fmaj7
Can’t wait to be yours tonight.
Chorus:
Am
Shine
Fmaj7
Is there a place for me?
Am
Shine
Fmaj7 C
Is there a place for me in your eyes?
Verse 2:
Fmaj7 C
I’m just a piece of light
Fmaj7
Can’t wait to be yours tonight.
Bridge:
Dm (F) G C Em Am
Keep me warm from the cold outside
Dm (F) G F Am Em Fmaj7 (or F)
I'll be yours, just say you'll be mine
Chorus
Am
Shine
Fmaj7
Is there a place for me?
Am
Shine
Fmaj7 C Am Em Fmaj7 (or F)
Is there a place for me in your eyes?

Nice work Jane - such a beautiful tune. One of my students brought it to me. I see that you mean about the Fmaj7 ambiguity. I really don't think it is. I think the vocal harmony implies it but I don't hear the piano or guitar playing the E in Fmaj7.
I'm not sold on the extra F in the bridge either - makes sense but I don't hear it. I think is that descending folk device is used going from the C to the Am. Also there's a few chords missing in your 2nd line. See my tab - there's a chord I can't quite get at the end of the bridge - it's near an Fdim. (xx0101)
opensky_94's Tab is very well done, with the exception of Fmaj7. Martunes's Tab is dead on as far as I can tell.
Thanks, Martunes and BriMused! Martunes's tabs are much more accurate than mine. Please feel free to post those chords you made. I think they'd help a lot more. :)
