You've got your mother's eyes
F#m G#m A
You've got your daddy's hands
A
Everything you need

They'll be strapping you on
      F#m G#m
All the ups and downs
                A
And you can't get off

and What you're gonna be
            F#m G#m A
you'll be stronger, you'll be smarter than me

E A

                         Bm
It's cold and hard and badly lit
                       F#m A
and there's no backing out of it

                       E
So forget where you've been
                         Bm
It'll never be that good again
             F#m A
We must only look ahead

                       E
Soon you're thirty-three
                        Bm
And everything you've tried to be
                        F#m A
Was pulled apart by fear and greed

                           E
May young hands build you up
                           Bm
And carved your face in honest rock
                    F#m A
With sunlight on your noble jaw

                       E
May young hands build you up
                       Bm
I'm happy that you've come along

               F#m A
I'm happy that you've come
        A A
I'm happy that you've come

I feel like the F#m should be a C#m in a few instances, ie) all the doctors blinking hard. just a thought, try it out!

I definitely agree about the C#m in the verses. Also the Bm should be just a B
