Here's another Iron Maiden tab. The song is very simple so there
shouldn't be any trouble. Enjoy it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

                   IRON MAIDEN - Running Free

Intro:
  (play 2x)

   E G F# E C D
e----------------------------------------------------|
B----------------------------------------------------|
G--9-------12--11--9-9--------x-5------xxx-7-----xxx-|
D--9-------12--11--9-9--------x-5------xxx-7-----xxx-|
A--7-------10--9---7-7--------x-3------xxx-5-----xxx-|
E----------------------------------------------------|

Verse:
  (play 2x)

   E C D E G A
e----------------------------------|---------------------------------|
B----------------------------------|---------------------------------|
G--9---xxx-9---xxx-5---xxx-7---xxx-|-9---xxx-9-------------------xxx-|
D--9---xxx-9---xxx-5---xxx-7---xxx-|-9---xxx-9---xxx-5---xxx-7---xxx-|
A--7---xxx-7---xxx-3---xxx-5---xxx-|-7---xxx-7---xxx-5---xxx-7---xxx-|
E----------------------------------|-------------xxx-3---xxx-5-------|

Keep in mind that the strummed chords (x) at the end of the bars are
played continuessly with the 1st chord of the beginning of the riff.
I also play the strummed chord (upstroke, downstroke, upstroke) and
very rapidly.

Chorus:
  (play 2x)

   E G E C D
e----------------------------------------------------|
B----------------------------------------------------|
G--9-------12--9---7-9--x-9---xxx-5----xxx-7-----xxx-|
D--9-------12--9---7-9--x-9---xxx-5----xxx-7-----xxx-|
A--7-------10--7---5-7--x-7---xxx-3----xxx-5-----xxx-|
E----------------------------------------------------|

Solo:

A--7-----7-----7-----7-----|--------------------------------|
E--0---0-0---0-0---0-0---0-|--------------------------------|
  PM......................|
      (play this bar 3x)

I think they change the pick-up or turn on an effect on the 3rd x.
On the 4th x replace last bar with:

      e-----------------|
      B-----------------|
      G--9----5--7---x--| play Chorus
      D--9----5--7---x--|
      A--7----3--5---x--|

G--9-9-------7-9-9-------7-9-9------5-5----5-7-7----7--| 2x
D--9-9-------7-9-9-------7-9-9------5-5----5-7-7----7--|
A--7-7-------5-7-7-------7-9-9------3-3----3-5-5----5--|
E------------------------------------------------------|

e------5-6-5-5-----5-6-5-5----5-6-5-5--------------------|

A--7-7---------7-7---------9-9--------3-3----3-5-5----5--|
E--------------------------------------------------------|

Ending:

Just play the sequence sustaining each chord:

| E GG AA xC xxxD xxx | 2x

then:
e-9---------------------------------------------------------|
B--12-10-12-10--10------------------------------------------|
G-------------12--12-11-12-11-9-11-9--9---------------------|
D-----------------------------------12-12-11-12-11-9-11-9---|
A--------------------------------------------------------12-|

    /f /f /f /f
e-10---10--------12----12--| /f - means full bend.

Here is the tab for the solo in "Running Free" by Iron Maiden. The existing
tab in OLGA is fine except that only one out of two guitar parts is tabbed.
Cheers, Sergei.

It's not really needed to tab the verses, bridges and the chorus. It's mostly
variations on Em.
Intro: Em G-F#-D-Em C D The chords from G to Em are 8th notes approx.

Verse:Em C D Em G A etc

Chorus: Em G D-Em C D

                             RUNNING FREE
                                 (solo)
I tabbed it as two parts, each one is for two guitars.
Every note played on the first guitar corresponds to a note on the second.

GUITAR I
-9----------------------------------------------------------
--12-10-12-10----10-----------------------------------------
--------------12----12-11-12-11-9-11-9----9-----------------
---------------------------------------12---12-11-12-11-9---
----------------------------------------------------------12
------------------------------------------------------------

Guitar II
-5-------------------------------------------
---8-7-8-7-5-7-5---5-------------------------
-----------------7---7-6-7-6-4-6-4---4-------
-----------------------------------7---7-5-4-
---------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------
                           Play this part twice.
                                 Then ....

Guitar I
17--------------------------------------------------------------
---20-19-20-19-17-19-17----17-----------------------------------
------------------------19----19-18-17-18-16-18-16----16--------
---------------------------------------------------19---19-17-16
----------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------

Guitar II
-14---------------------------------------------------------------
----17-15-17-15-14-15-14----14------------------------------------
-------------------------16----16-14-16-14----14------------------
-------------------------------------------17---17-16-17-16-14----
---------------------------------------------------------------17-
------------------------------------------------------------------

Play it twice , then :

Guitar I

----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------
-16----------16---------16-------16------16----------
----19-17-16---19-17-16----19-17---19-17----19-17-16-
-----------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------

Guitar II

----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
17-16-14- 17-16-14 -17-16-14-17-16-14-17-16-14---
---------17---------17----------------------------17
-=--------------------------------------------------

Then pick Em for some time
                          and..

Guitar I:

14-14-14-----12-14-12-------------19
 -----------------------15-15-15-----
------------------------------------
---------------------
---------------------
----------------------

Guitar II :

-12-12-12------------------------------15
------------15-15-15---------------------
------------------------16-16-16---------
-----------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------

And another little piece:

 Guitar I: Guitar II:

-5-7-5- 5-- 2-3-2-0-2-
-------7----- ----------
------------- with ----------
------------- ----------
------------- ----------
------------- ----------

You guys can easily figure out when to play the last two licks.

Have fun with it and tell me if there are mistakes in the tab. (Eddie, I hope
