J Mascis and The Fog - Set Us Free
From the album 'Free So Free' (2002)

Standard tuning, capo on 9th fret

---

This tab is based on what I could see from a video of it being played live/some fancy
sound-slowing software/oldschool listening for notes, so it's got to be fairly accurate.

Due to the way the guitar parts seem to have been recorded with like 2-3 overdubs and/or
certain effects, i've changed the tab so it's more like how it's played live (with one
guitar). That way the switches between the rhythm and the lead parts/small fills won't
seem so painfully obvious when you're playing along.

Warning: badass riffs ahead in verse/bridge.

==bridge
| on a side note, the bass parts in this bit are really cool, J's bass parts are

|not relative to capo - actual fret numbers used. 0s (open strings) are technically the 9th

|2:52 - there's a part here that goes below the capo (the solo was recorded without one), so

==outro riff/solo (4:08)
not relative to capo - fret numbers used

E|-----------------------------------------------------|                      |------------------|

if you're playing the song yourself though, i recommend ending it like this, combining both the
rhythm and lead parts: (relative to capo)

E|---------------|

D|----------0----|
A|----------2----|

enjoy!
