Song: The Horizon has been Defeated (acoustic version)
Artist: Jack Johnson
Album: On and On

This is a fairly easy song, I think it’s really good for beginners who want to learn
simple plucking patterns. All the G chords in the song are natural majors but for some
Jack plays one Gmajor6 as the second chord in the song. Hope you like it!

Chords Used:
   D Gmaj6 G C A
|--2---0---3----0----0-|
|--3---3---0----1----2-|
|--2---0---0----0----2-|
|--0---2---0----2----2-|
|------2---2----3----0-|
|------3---3-----------|

Intro:

|----2-----2---------0-----0-----0---0-----0-----0---2-----2-----2-|
|------3-----3---------3-----3---------1-----1---------3-----3-----|
|--------2-------0-------0-----0---------0-----0---------2---------|
|--0-----------0-----------------------------------0-----------0---|
|----------------------------------3-------------------------------|
|------------------3-----------------------------------------------|

|----2-----2---0-0---3-----3-----0---0-----0-----0---2-----2-----2-|
|------3-----3---------0-----0---------1-----1---------3-----3-----|
|--------2-----0---------0-----0---------0-----0---------2---------|
|--0-----------------------------------------------0-----------0---|
|----------------------------------3-------------------------------|
|------------------3-----------------------------------------------|

Verse:

The verse has 4 sections, the first 3 are just the second part of the intro repeated and
4th section has an extra A and G chord between the C and D. Or to put it differently:

|----2-----2-----0---3-----3-----0---0-----0-----0---2-----2-----2----| x3
|------3-----3---------0-----0---------1-----1---------3-----3--------|
|--------2-----0---------0-----0---------0-----0---------2------------|
|--0-----------------------------------------------0-----------0------|
|----------------------------------3----------------------------------|
|------------------3--------------------------------------------------|

|----2-----2-----0---3-----3-----0---0-----0-----0-------------------3-----3-----0---2-----2-----2--| x1
|------3-----3---------0-----0---------1-----1-------2-----2-----------0-----0---------3-----3------|
|--------2-----0---------0-----0---------0-----0-------2-----2---0-------0-----0---------2-----2----|
|--0-----------------------------------------------------2-----2-------------------0----------------|
|----------------------------------3---------------0------------------------------------------------|
|------------------3-----------------------------------------------3--------------------------------|

Bridge

This part is played similar to the verse except jack plays the A section 4 times like this

--------------------| x4
 --2-----2-----2----|
 ----2-----2--------|
 ------2-----2------|
 0------------------|
 -------------------|

And then goes straight into the outro

Outro

|----2-----2-----0---3-----3-----0---0-----0-----0---2-----2-----2----| x1
|------3-----3---------0-----0---------1-----1---------3-----3--------|
|--------2-----0---------0-----0---------0-----0---------2------------|
|--0-----------------------------------------------0-----------0------|
|----------------------------------3----------------------------------|
|------------------3--------------------------------------------------|

|----2-----2-----0---3-----3-----0---0-----0-----0-------------------3-----3-----0---2-----2-----2--| x1
|------3-----3---------0-----0---------1-----1-------2-----2-----------0-----0---------3-----3------|
|--------2-----0---------0-----0---------0-----0-------2-----2---0-------0-----0---------2-----2----|
|--0-----------------------------------------------------2-----2-------------------0----------------|
|----------------------------------3---------------0------------------------------------------------|
|------------------3-----------------------------------------------3--------------------------------|

--2-----2-------------------------3-----3-----0---2-----2-----2---| x4
 ----3-----3-------2-----2-----------0-----0---------3-----3------|
 ------2-----2-0-----2-----2-----------0-----0---------2-----2----|
 0---------------------2-----2-0-----------------0----------------|
 ----------------0------------------------------------------------|
 --------------------------------3--------------------------------|

Strum the last D chord and that’s it

Intro 0.00 - 0.14
Verse 0.14 – 2.13
Bridge 2.13 – 2.20
Outro 2.20 – 3.01
