I am getting on a Jackson 5 kick here. This song hops back and forth alot
between the different sections.There are only three different sections.
There is the intro, chorus and verse. At the very end, it keeps going back
and forth before the song fades out.
In the intro, which is the home base throughout the song, it is hard to hear
all the notes, but you can tell the bass is hopping around this pattern
which is the mecca of funk bass.

Intro E chord
On your "A" string the 7th fret is the root note, or E. The 9th frets on your
D string and the G string, are your 5th degree, or B, and your octave, E again,
respectively. During this you can funk it up however you like, but its all
based around these 5 notes, with the root, "E" being the first note of each bar.
The chromatic run 5-6-7 will end the previous bar and begin the next bar.So,
technically 7 will be the first note in the bar. Use your ear and your feeling.
