The chords are simply played in a strum bass,2,1 and you can enter some 3 and 4 between
to "fill it up"
In the G I prefer open e string and D not playing it at all..
I added a special intro that is very close to the original piano.
It's just recommend, if you feel it's too hard try the alternative.
The whole point is to play with the e string, use the strum, it will help.

Verse:
Am E
  There are children standing here,
                             G
Arms outstretched into the sky,
                          D
Tears drying on their face, he has been here.
Am E
  Brothers lie in shallow graves.
                          G
Fathers lost without a trace.
                               D
A nation blind to their disgrace, since he's been here.

Chorus:
Am E G
And I see no bravery, No bravery,
         D
In your eyes anymore, Only sadness.
Am E G
And I see no bravery, No bravery,
         D
In your eyes anymore, Only sadness.

  Houses burnt beyond repair.
                               G
The smell of death is in the air.

But no one asks the question why, he has been here.
Am E
Old men kneel to accept their fate.

Wives and daughters cut and raped.

A generation drenched in hate, says he has been here.

In your eyes anymore !
