I Got A Name chords
Jim Croce *

E B7 E B7 2x

E B7 C#m
Like the pine trees lining the winding road,
           A B7 E
I ve got a name, I ve got a name
                 B7 C#m
Like the singing bird and the croaking toad,
           F# B7
I ve got a name, I ve got a name

G#m A E G#
And I carry it with me like my daddy did,
                   C#m F# B7
but I'm living the dream, that he can't give

G#m A
Moving me down the highway,
G#m C#m
rolling me down the highway
A B7 E
Moving ahead so life won't pass me by

E B7 C#m
Like the north wind whistling down the sky,
           A B7 E
I ve got a song, I ve got a song
                 B7 C#m
Like the whippoorwill and the baby's cry,
           F# B7
I ve got a song, I ve got a song

G#m A E G#
And I carry it with me and I sing it loud,
              C#m F# B7
if it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud

G#m A
Moving me down the highway,
G#m C#m

E B7 C#m
Like the fool I am and I ll always be,
           A B7 E
I ve got a dream, I ve got a dream

E B7 C#m

The C#m that you have on "highway" should actually be major, not minor. And at the end of every chorus into the next verse it's a D for that transition. Other than that, it's great!

I disagree with the B7. I think it should be just B.
