Artist: Jimmy Buffett
Song: "Barefoot Children"

This is what I believe are the chords for Jimmy Buffett's "Barefoot
Children".

D C Am
                     C
Scratch my back with a lightnin' bolt, thunder rolls like a bass drum note

C D G
The sound of the weather is Heaven's ragtime band

      D C Am
                          C
We all fell down from the Milky Way, hangin' round here till Judgement Day

Show me yours and I'll show you mine, take me back to days full of monkey

C D G
Bouncin' on a bubble full of trouble in the summer sun

D C Am
                           C
Keep your raft from the river boat, fiction over fact always has my vote

Barefoot children in the rain

Scratch my back with a ligtnin' bolt, thunder rolls like a bass drum note

C D G

I don't think the answer's close at hand

G D Am C G D
Barefoot children in the rain. Got no need to explain

G D Am C G
                 C G
We'd be swingin' on a ball and chain. It's always understood by those who
play the game

C D G
Barefoot children in the rain.

In the rain. In the rain.

This is what I came up with. I hope it's accurate. Any corrections are
welcome!

The verses are fine except that I think the second C chord should really be an Em.

So the first line of each verse should read like this: D C Am Em

The chorus chords should read:

G D Em C G D
Barefoot children in the rain. Got no need to explain
G D Em
We'd be swingin' on a ball and chain.
C G Am Em
It's always understood by those who play the game:
C D G
Barefoot children in the rain.

And then the "lalala section is fine, but the last Am should be an Em
