Deja Vu (All Over Again)
This is the "NO CAPO" version of the song for those who prefer not to use those
wonderful little crutches. Personally, I love 'em and I play it the way the other
version on the site has it listed, with the Capo on the 2nd fret, but the other
guitarist in my band won't use them, so here's the transcription without the capo..
Deja Vu (All Over Again)
Intro: F#m A F#m A
Chorus
D A F#m
Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it, on the radio
D A F#m
Did you try, to read the writing, on the wall
D A F#m
Did that voice inside you say, I've heard it all before
D E A
It's like Deja Vu, all over again
Verse 1
A E A
Day by day, I hear the voices rising
D A E
Started with a whisper, like it did before
A E F#m
Day by day, we count the dead and dying
D E
Ship the bodies home, while the networks all keep score
Chorus
D A F#m
Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it, on the radio
D A F#m
Could your eyes believe, the writing, on the wall
D A F#m
Did that voice inside you say, I've heard it all before
D E A
It's like Deja Vu, all over again
Break: D A E D A F#m D A F#m E A
Verse 2
A E A
One by one, I see the old ghosts rising
D A E
Stumblin' 'cross big muddy, where the light gets dim
A E F#m
Day after day, another Momma's crying
D E
She's lost her precious child, to a war that has no end
Chorus
D A F#m
Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio
D A F#m
Did you stop, to read the writing, at the wall
D A F#m
Did that voice inside you say, I've seen this all before
D E A
It's like Deja Vu, all over again
D E A
It's like Deja Vu, all over again
Outro: F#m A F#m A (4 x)
(fades out or just end on the "A" and let it ring)
well at least that D note is in there.
ok, capos are hardly crutches... they are a useful tool, i'm not saying that i use a capo whenever a can, cause i don't abuse the power of the capo... but it's hardly a cructh... and this is accurate. I understand there are many ways to play songs... but when i was John Fogerty play this song he was using one on the second fret... and i doubt if he needs a "cructh"
