this is my first tab and i did it by ear but i still think it sounds much better than 
other versions.  this is from the trios new live album Try! and its one of the best songs 
the album.
nobody does any good tabs for mayer songs so i thought i would give it a try

remember that john always uses his thumb on the low E!
