To play these chords properly like the way JM did it in his Vancouver concert, you need
do open G tuning and capo the 5th fret to make it open C - tuning G/B/D/G/B/G capo 5th
- that will of course change up the chords quite a bit so here they are in tab:
C: 0-0-0-0-0-0 F: 0-1-2-0-0-0 Dm: X-X-2-2-1-2 Bb: X-X-3-2-1-0
These are the lyrics to the best of what I could hear just by listening to a few
recordings on youtube over and over again, they should be pretty accurate but I apologize if
are not.
Sweet song, I'm glad to have heard it first and live for that matter!
Please Enjoy
Somebody Loves You
-John Mayer-

You and I we were born out of the same page
When we found out we were one another
We were bleeding from the same vein

Sometimes you left to go off to sea without me
Now you can bring a song you can sing when you’re lonely

Sometimes I think this is not your first dance across the lifeline
Tell it to the after life and the ghost that came before us at the same time
F Dm
Sooner or later the wind’s gunna take you without (me)
When you want to pretend that we lose in the end, baby please don’t
Chorus

Somebody loves you, Somebody loves you (2x)
F Dm
Oh Oh Oh
[solo break]
Bridge
Dm
When your losing light
F
At the end of the day
Dm C
Feeling last in line to lay claim to your name
Dm F
When you feel like your heart is on constant display

You and I we were born out of the same page

When we found out we were one another, we were bleeding from the same vein
So tuning is GBDGBG then capo on 5th? That's going to be a big stretch taking E up to G. Are you sure this is correct?
hmm... i'm not even going to try that tuning. it sounds fine if you just play it open tuning w/ the same chords in their normal form. since the song is a little low for my range i capo @ 3rd. i'm not saying this is wrong, and it wouldnt surprise me if thats how jm plays it... its just easier and quicker to leave it in open e tuning and capo where you feel comfortable. i also play dm7 instead of dm. also i just have to add that this song is absoultely beautiful.
