HURT – JOHNNY CASH
Transcribed By: http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/Rider30/
I noticed there are no tabs with the lyrics and chords placed properly. This
is for all the singers out there. I know it helps me to put everything
together this way. Enjoy! Comments and Ratings Appreciated! Thanks, Johnny!

This is a good arrangement, but it doesn't quite sound right, I swapped the D for a D(add9/11) and it sounds pretty close to the record. D(add9/11) is a basicly a C chord moved up two frets. You can then slide up from C to D(add9/11) which adds the missing undertones and simplifies the picking pattern.

I like it!!
D chord is ok.. To make it a bit darker sounding take middle finger off the high E string (Dsus2)
and obviously when you play the intro part start on the root note and play first 3 strings(don't pluck, drag your pick ,rest on top of each of the strings for a nice clean sound) and then let chord ring out.. If you want to control the ringing.. use side of your palm and mute a little so it doesn't sound so damn "happy" ringing out. Just my $00.02 worth, take it or leave it.
