I think this should be capoed at the 5th fret. Also, the later choruses list playing G7 after the Am, but it sounds to me like each chorus should be like the first one listed here: C Am Dm G. It also sounds like you could choose to play G7 after each G and it would sound right.

With this basic chord progression, I think you'll sound like the track on the album.

I think you're right about the Capo. I wrote this off of a live recording where he played it with capo 2, but for sure it's 5 for this album version.
