I believe this song is tuned to drop D, but I'm going to show you how to play it out of tuning. The key to me sounds like A flat / G Sharp. Anyway, here's how I play it. listen to the song for the rhythm and timing changes, I'm just showing you the chords to in the order.. Rift A "I packed my case..." A flat, E flat, B flat --------------------------| --------------------------| --------------------------| --------8-----------------| --6-----6-----8-----------| --4-----------6-----------| Break A "...for reasons unknown" (only the first time) A flat --------------------------| --------------------------| --------------------------| --------------------------| --6-----------------------| --4-----------------------| Rift A (Again) "I caught my stride..." A flat, E flat, B Flat --------------------------| --------------------------| --------------------------| --------8-----------------| --6-----6-----8-----------| --4-----------6-----------| Rift B "But my heart, it don't beat..." C, A flat, E flat, B flat --------------------------| --------------------------| --------------------------| --5---------8-------------| --3----6----6-----8-------| -------4----------6-------| Rift C "For reasons unknown..." E flat, D, C, B flat --------------------------| --------------------------| --------------------------| --8-----7-----5-----3-----| --6-----5-----3-----1-----| --------------------------| And that's it.. repeat as the song goes. I again, i think this may sound better if you to drop d and hit the D#/E flat lower on the fretboard, but i think it sounds fine played fifth string. Playing it this way also sounds pretty good with full chords on the acoustic.
What you have sounds right, but, you're kidding right?
no solo no backup no rhythm no chords. this tab is empty.
correction to myself, you have chords. my apologies.
a rhythm and lead would be nice to make this sound more full.
it's also tuned down half a step and starting on the fifth fret
