Lady Antebellum, "Downtown"

(intro)
2x
E A

(verse)
     E
Well, all the parties on the streets are talking, store front mannequins sleeping in lights.
A
We used to smoke while we were jaywalking like it was your birthday every other saturday night.
E
Knew The bands so we never payed our cover.
E
Wrote our names on the bathroom tiles.
A
We never dressed to impress all the others,
A B
They would let us in on a laid back kind of style.
B
But Boy you know it's been a while.

(chorus)
             E
I don't know why you don't take me down town like you got anywhere better to be.
        A
Talk it up and give me the go round round like a good time tease.
         E
I'm only countin' on your cancellation,
E
Then I should be countin' on you at my door.
        A
Did you forget about how we went around,
A E
I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore.
             A
Ohhhhhhhh anymore.

(verse)
E
I got some platforms sitting in the corner.
E
They wanna stroll on a city sidewalk.
A
I got a dress that'll show a little uhhh uh,
A B
but you ain't getting uhh ohh if you don't come pick me up (damn),
B
Show me off (wow), you might be tired but I'm not!

(chorus)
                 E
And I don't know why you don't take me down town like you got anywhere better to be.
        A
Talk it up and give me the go round round like a good time tease.
         E
I'm only countin' on your cancellation,
E
Then I should be countin' on you at my door.
        A
Did you forget about how we went around,
A E
I don't know why you don't take me downtown anymore.

(instrumental)
E A, E A,

          A E

So glad you're having fun, that's great. My son has a uke, they are getting so popular these days! I will tab out the notes in the intro and the instrumental break as soon as get a little free from the flood of new releases out right now, have you seen Tim McGraw's new stuff?

Yes I have heard a few of his new songs - I'm really loving it! I've never found an interest in Tim Mcgraw, but his cd's will definitely be bought. Also on my list of cd's are Rascal Flatts - real country music is actually the best!
