Yeah, shadow of the day kicks ass! i love the song and the guitar solo(s)

~ = Vibrate
PM (...) =Palm mute all
B=Bend
/=Slide up
Just Palm mute at the bridge/talpiece of the guitar to get the sound.

You know..... some people argue that there is a "quiet" guitar played b4 the solo and
say there isn't...or theye can't hear it....so...... if you watch them live or talk to
figure it out. And, some people say its half step tuning...and other say its Drop D 
me....i use both sometimes....but it says better in Drop D...lol...so play it however
you want to...or wut ever sounds better to you
