(Quick drum fill, then into intro)

Intro:
Note: I always thought that this was just a straightforward
F#5 strumming, however, upon closer listen, you can
clearly hear the changes from 244xxx to 044xxx
When playing, try to focus on strumming the E and A
strings more. You may want to just play the chords as
      24xxxx and 04xxxx

Note 2: Listen to the recording to get how this is played
I prefer all downstrum, but you may play whatever way you wish

(Played fast)

(Play 4 times and lead into Verse)

Verse:
(* = After chord is played, 3 muted harmonics are played quickly between
      To do this, move your pointer finger from the 2nd to 3rd fret;
lightly touching the E string and strum away. You'll hear the same
      sound as on the recording).

People I've seen my day, ranting and raving this beauty away
We are by and large the same, but words are too feeble, they cannot contain

Chorus 1:

*F#5 E5 D5 B5
He was a rock 'n roll Messiah

A5 D5 E5
She was known for her childcare

*F#5 E5 D5 B5
Truth is gonna give up the World

   A5 D5 E5
If you can give up the stage

    E5 E5
The stage, the stage..... Come on!

(Repeat Verse)
(Repeat Pre-chorus)

Chorus 2:

*F#5 E5 D5 B5
He was a rock and roll Messiah

A5 D5 E5
She was known for her childcare

   A5 D5 E5
If I can give up the stage

   A5 D5 E5

D5 D5 D5 D5
night. Tonight, tonight...

(strum F#5 once and hold into solo)

Solo:
Note: This was difficult to make out on the recording,
so it is more than likely not 100%. Just fool around with
it and you will come close. Or you can always improvise
      if you're good. :)

(Guitar 2 plays Intro Part as rhythm backing)

Beside her, beside her, beside her
