I was messing around with this and you can play a barred A7, D7, and an open E7. Slide down do the D7 on the 10th fret and it sounds pretty cool.
A7 then slide to D7 on the "I keep rolling down the road" then back to A7 with no vocals and the next vocal line lands on D7.
