M. Ward
One Hundred Million Years
from the album "Hold Time"

tab by: Jake Dexter

this is my first tab, but there's not
a real good sounding tab of this on here
so i thought i would do one.
its not at all how M.Ward plays it but it sounds good so have fun
 with it, its really easy.
this doesnt include the strumming pattern or anything but you should be
able to figure it out.
you can really improve your finger picking if you play around with it.

Drop D Tuning, so the G fingering is a little different.

have always been alive

(riff 1)

you can play this during the chorus and/or during the instrumental bridge. its a more
depiction of the melody of the chorus that m ward plays live often

E|---3----3---5s7-5------5s7------------3---3----5s7------5s7------------|
B|---3--3----------7--------7---5b-3----3-3----------7--------7----5b-3--|
G|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---5------5----------0------0------0--5----5----------0--------0------0|

E|---3----3---5s7-5------5s7-----------------------------------------------|
B|---3--3----------7--------7---5b-3----------2--2----3s5-2-2h3---3--------|
G|--------------------------------------------2---2---------------2--------|
D|--------------------------------------------2----2-----------------------|
A|----------------------------------------0--------------------------------|
D|---5------5----------0------0------0----------------------------0--------|

Again, its not how M ward plays it, especially in the chorus
(he uses some descending jazz chords that i cant quite figure out),
but it sounds good and is so beautiful and fun to play around with.
i think its one of the most beautiful songs ive ever heard.
