Well this is my first tab!

It's quite simple, I used this version to figure out the chords.

Strumming.. well what I like to do is strum the chord and then drum on the guitar to the 
bass line of the song using my palm

I think your right on with the chords however when I listen to his live version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvfUzZsPqxY (starts at 07:23). He actually plays it the other way around: like E // E // F#m7 // D7. That could fit in aswell. Nevertheless, cheers for the chords!
