There's a riff in the song where they slide the C chord up and down. I marked
that with C*. You can just play a regular C chord there if you want. If you
want to do the slide, I think they just slide up 3 frets.

Capo 1st fret

C
C F
I am the only one that thinks I'm going crazy
                            C
And I don't know what to do
C F
I am the only son of a pastor I know
                         C
who does the things I do

               G Am F C
But if it was you I don't think that it would matter
                  G Am F C
Oh and if it was true then I just wouldn't matter

C F
I was amazed at the color and shapes that you drew
                    C
A paper cut for two
C F
I am the only son of a bastard I know
                           C
Who knows the bastard too
                G Am F C
Because it was you I called it a different story
              G Am F C
But if I was you I'd make this a simpler story
G
I bet you did what you did when you did it
   F
To do it again by the time you were done with it
C*
G
I bet you did what you did when you did
         F
Just to tell every friend that you had that the Lord did it
C*
C*
           G Am F C
I finally knew that I simply couldn't matter
             G Am F C
You finally knew that you simply couldn't matter
                   G
I guess that it's true you never knew
             F C
The passive power of the truth so cut me loose
            G
If I could write another phrase
             F
We might be better off this way
                C
But there's no use
               C
No there's no use
