Artist: Mandisa
Song: Voice of a Savior
Intro: A D A E (x2)
Verse 1:
A D A
Some people try to listen to the bottom of a bottle
A F# E
Some people try to listen to a needle in their arm
A D A
Some people try to listen to the money in their pocket
A E A
Some people try to listen to another's arms
Chorus:
D A
You and I are not that different
E A
We got a void and we're just trying to fill it up
D A E
With something that will give just a little peace
D A
All we want is a hand to reach to
E A
Open arms that say I love you
D A E
We'd give anything to hear
A
The voice of a Savior
Verse 2:
A D A
Some people try to find it with blind ambition
A F# E
Some people try to find it where no one else has gone
A D A
Some people try to find it in the crowns of victory
A E A
Some people get defeated and lose the strength to carry on
Chorus:
Verse 3:
A D A
Some people try to find it in the shadow of a steeple
A F# E
Some people try to find it in the back row pew
A D A
Some people try to find it in the arms of Jesus
A E A
That's where I found it, how about you?
Chorus to end
I think the F# should actually be F#m. But otherwise great tab. Thanks!
I agree with ^^^ The F# should definitely be an F#m. I also find at the end of the chorus instead of immediately playing an A ("the voice of a savior" last line) I play the D and then go into the A, E, A, D, A, E. That could just be me, but I think it sounds better.
I think that the 'A' in the chorus over "just trying to fill it up" and "that say I love you" should be and F#m. But agreed, good tab!
