Hi,
this is a beautiful song by Mason Jennings called "Duluth". It may not be the perfect
but it sounds really close to the original I think at least. Should be fine when played on
acoustic guitar, hope you guys like it!
"Duluth"
Em Am Em
Nobody says the things he says
G
Nobody moves like he moves
Em Am Em
Nobody makes me feel this way
C G
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
C Em
I'm going to marry that boy
Oh my mother said to me
Girl you better watch yourself
'cause a railroad man is an absent man
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
Chorus:
G Am Em
We'll live in a little town
D
North of Duluth
Where my grandmother
Lived in her youth
When he comes home at night
He'll call to me
My sweet darling girl
Come lay with me
3rd stanza:
And oh mother nothing compares
Nothing even comes close
To the way he comes up under me
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
Chorus:
Marry him in his easter clothes
Marry me in white
Beneath a canopy
Of unearthly light
And our friends and family
Will all come to say
God bless this union
God bless this day
4th stanza:
Soon his burdens will be mine
Soon this love will set us free
All my hope lies with him now
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy

absolutely perfect. good job tabbing this out considering the whole song is just a drum, tamborine, and mason....very good job!
the only minor change i would make is on the verse lines...
G Em
Nobody moves like he moves
instead of starting the Em chord on the next line in the lyric, it's played like the quick Am-Em progression
this is a great song!
um....it didn't do that right....
G Em
Nobody moves like he moves
(G chord over "he"....Em chord over "moves". use same progression in other verses too)
i think it should be played a half step down
