If you swap out the D for Dsus4 220033, it keeps the "brightness" of the chords, and makes it a lot easier to play - just keep two fingers on XXXX33 the whole time, except for the Em.

The chorus is a C, not a C9.

Chorus is actually a C/G on one guitar track and a different C/G (Cadd9) on a different guitar track, if you wanna get technical.
C/G - just play a C and add the low G note on the low E string.

And, if you play Dsus4 in place of the D, it isn't gonna sound exactly right. It doesn't just keep brightness, it changes the notes. There's nothing difficult about swapping between these chords unless you are a beginner, and practice will help that. Not to make you sound bad or call you wrong lol...just sayin...:)

Also, on this tab...swap the "x" on the low E string with a "0", because the low E string is played open in that chord...not muted.
