Matt tunes his B string up to a C to play this, it makes it easier and sounds better!

Exactly. I think Matt also plays with the D string tuned down to C because the ending doesn't sound right without that.

Some chords he uses for the chorus figure out pattern from listening to the song (not sure if they're right just tried to guess from watching where his fingers were in videos).
And also the ending.
