Mayhem – Deathcrush
From the Album Deathcrush, originally printed in 1000 copies in 1987,
and re-released in 1993 on CD.

Tuning: C(D could do)

Riff A

|-555566665555666655556666/10-10-10-10-8-8-8-8|

The whole riff is played fast in the same tempo, but the end has “–“ between the
power-grips to show that you play at fret nr 8,10 and 12…
It may also sound better and more groovy if you play only 3 strokes on each
notes and only stroke down, not up and down. Do what you like best.

Riff C

Fast.
I often let out the (7). This is different on some of the releases
and live shows.

Riff D

Bass comes in and plays intro riff(Bass-line of riff A)

Riff E is played over corresponding bass part

Bass continues…

|-2~-1~-2-2-5-2-6-5-----------------|

There should be no problem to find out where riff E and F is played along with the bass.

The ending that is inside()is played on some live recordings. I’ve seen it on
DVD, and heard it on CD. Do what you think sounds best.
Again, you can take three down strokes, instead of stroking up and down.
