A while back, someone asked for the lyrics for the Clapton Unplugged
arrangement of this song. And, since I don't remember who it was, I
figured I'd just have to share it with the group.
To add some guitar content to the post:
The easy way to play the main riff is to alternate between G played
in E form on the 3rd fret (355433), and the same thing without the E
form -- 333333. (Technically, a Bb6/G&C, I guess.)
The riff goes something like:
G G Bb G G G Bb G
1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4
ROLLIN' & TUMBLIN' by McKinley Morganfield
Well, I woke up this morning; I best get rolling on.
Well, come here baby, sit down on daddy's knee.
Well, come here baby, sit down on daddy's knee.
I want to tell you about the way they treated me.
Well, I rolled and I tumbled, cried the whole night long.
Well, I rolled and I tumbled, cried the whole night long.
When I woke up this morning, all I had was gone.
