Band: Megadeth Song: Tornado of Souls Album: Rust in Peace Bassist: David Ellefson Tuning: Standard (E A D G) Tabbed by: JJJ I noticed the other tabs were incomplete and partly incorrect so I made one based on the original bass track which can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4lqNjX0AAw I tried to include all the little slides, rests, mute notes and slaps as well as convey the timing when possible. For some of the trickier parts I used an audio editor to loop the notes one by one in order to figure them out. Can you create a video with you playing this music on your bass I can't understand the slaps :S slap on what string?? sorry my english I'm brasilian and I do not speak frequently
I could've been more clear about that. It's not a slap/pop type of slap. If you play with a pick, you just mute the strings with your picking hand palm so that it makes a little noise, like a dead note.
If you watch this part ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nubDFyArdI&t=2m3s ) and look at Ellefson's picking hand, you can see him doing this whenever he lifts his hand a little. It's basically there just to end the note. You don't really have to do it, you can just simply mute the string.
