Since you posted the chords, and a lot of people associate the chords with acoustic guitar, it may be helpful to add/change the opening riff. Its easier to play it down an octave like this:

Also this sounds sweet as an addition if you do play the song with another guitarist like in the original recording, if you have your "Hetfield" of the group play the high already posted part and your "Hammet" play this part.
