I Can Go The Distance - Micheal Bolton (Hercules Soundtrack)
Tabbed By: Joshy8632 ;-)
I loved this movie when i was a kid and this was the first song I ever sung
to a crowd. I had found a tab on here but it was for another singer and not the
one from the soundtrack. This one is. ENJOY!
P.S. I think the bridge is wrong if you can figure it out email me and i will edit.
Verse 1:
G A D G A D
I have often dreamed, of a far off place
G A Bm D A
Where a hero's welcome, would be waiting for me
G A D G A D
Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face
G A Bm D A
And a voice keeps saying, "this is where I'm meant to be
Chorus:
D Em D A
I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
D A Bm A
I'll find my way, if I can be strong
D A G Bm Em
I'll know every mile, will be worth my while
G A D Bm A D
When I go the distance I'll be right where I belong
Verse 2:
Down an unknown road
To embrace my fate
Though the road may wander
It will lead me to you
And a thousand years
Would be worth the wait
It may take a lifetime
But somehow I'll see it through
Chorus:
And I won't look back
I can go the distance
And I'll stay on track
No I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope
But I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance
And my journey is complete
Bridge:
D G C
But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
G C D
For a hero's strength is measured by his heart
Chorus:
Like a shooting star
I can go the distance
I will search the world
I will face its harms
I don't care how far
I can go the distance
Till I find my hero's welcome
Waiting in your arms...
Verse 3:
I will search the world
I will face its harms
Till I find my hero's welcome
Waiting in your arms...
