"Eleven Small Roaches", by Michael Hedges

Transcribed by Jay Armstrong,
based loosely on an earlier effort by Robert Minato

I feel this transcription is very accurate, much more so than my
posting of "Two Days Old", which had a few bars I wasn't comfortable with.

Nonetheless, all comments and suggestions, good or bad, are welcomed
and appreciated. (jna8182@usl.edu)

This is, IMHO, the easiest Michael Hedges song to play on the guitar,
so all are urged to give it a shot. I'm not saying it's an EASY song
in any general sense, just that it's the easiest HEDGES song I've
come across.

Enough talk, get busy!

Tuning : C G D G B D

NOTES
-----

 - bar 3 is played as written only the VERY FIRST time

 - every other time, it is played as follows :

     -----5--------7--10---|
     --^7------7^8---------|
     -------5--------------|
     ----------------------|
     -5--------7-----------|
     ----------------------|

 - when playing the x0x000 chord (e.g. as in bar 2), "roll" the
chord, a fast arpeggio with the high note landing on the beat
(use p,i,m,a - that's the thumb and first 3 fingers for those
of you in Rio Linda, CA - I couldn't resist :)

 - the 444000 chord should be "pinch" fretted, using the first
finger OVER the neck; the proceeding harmonics on 12 can then
be fretted with the right hand, then the first finger can pull
    off, sounding the notes (be careful not to sound the 4th stg);
it sounds like that what he's doing, and that would be typical
    of his style
