Stuck on the Moon - Microwave Jenny

CAPO 1

Another GREAT tune from this duo! These are not direct chords but they are enough
to get by. The picking is a little tricky so I'll leave that up to you to figure out! :)

Tabbed by: Braden M.

The D^ is a D chord with your pinky finger going on the 4th fret of the A string.
Sounds better when picked a bit first instead of just strummed.

Intro: D D^ Bm A G D Em A

D D^ Bm A
You might not believe that these words are my own
G D Em A
But I wrote this myself so your mind would be blown
D D^ Bm A
If what I felt for you was kept on a boat
G D Em A
There’s not enough water to keep it afloat

D

D D^ Bm A
If every word I wrote made you want to smile
       G D Em A
I’d write a list of words as long as The Nile
D D^ Bm A
And never stand so far that I had to shout
       G D Em A
I’d follow you ‘round and won’t shut my mouth

               G A
If you were safe when I held you I’d be satisfied
            D D^ Bm A
With my arms stitched in a coat and you wrapped in inside
   G A
You’d wear me out in the rain and the snow
            D D^ Bm A
But you can’t hang me up ‘cause I won’t let you go
        G D
No I won’t let you go

D D^ Bm A G D Em A

 D D^ Bm A
If you were only happy if I went away
               G D Em A
I’d dig a hole in the moon and inside I’d stay
      D D^ Bm A
But I’d take a pencil and some paper too
    G D Em A
And think of the perfect words to write to you

      G A
I’d take all the lines from your favourite songs
          D D^ Bm A
And write a new favourite and you’d sing along
               G A
Then I’d pencil in your favourite cartoon
                  D D^ Bm A
And he’d stand before millions and sing you this tune
                G D
While I’m stuck on the moon

               G A
If you were safe when I held you I’d be satisfied
          D D^ Bm A
With my arms stitched in a coat and you wrapped in inside
    G A
You’d wear me out in the rain and the snow
                D D^ Bm A
But you can’t hang me up ‘cause I won’t let you go
         G D
No I won’t let you go
