The arrows original "I Love Rock N Roll" single was an A-Side 38 years ago today in fact, released May 9th, 1975 as a single. A late flip from b-side status their label barely promoted it but they got one TV appearance with the song (on the ITV show "45") which got the band their own weekly TV series the following year in '76, so the song served the band well.
If they hadn't got the TV series Joan Jett would have never heard them performing the song on TV when she was on tour with the Runaways in the UK 1976.
