I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris - Morrissey
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tuning: Standard, but all guitars Capo on second fret, so all chords/notes are relative
that.

Music by Boz Boorer, Lyrics by Morrissey.

Here is the main piano part adapted for the guitar.
I stumbled across it by accident when fiddling about with the barre chords Jesse Tobias
it sound okay to my ear!

X 3

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------3-------5---6-----6--5-----5-----------------------------------------|
G|----4---4---5---5---5-------5----------------------------------------------|
D|--5-------7-----------7-------7--------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

X 1
e|-----------0----------------0----------------------------------------------|
B|-------3-----3-----------1----1--------------------------------------------|
G|-----4---------4-------2--------2------------------------------------------|
D|---5-----5-------5-S-3-----3------3----------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

This is the part Jesse Tobias plays on the electric guitar, with some distortion.
It is the same as above, except the individual arpeggio style picking is replaced by a
slide up the fret board.
If you can’t get it, watch the video on Youtube and you can see what happens:

             G Am F Am
e|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------3-Slide--5------------6------5---------------------------------|
G|-----------4--------5------------5------5---------------------------------|
D|-----------5--------7------------7------7---------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|

The chords played by Boz Boorer on the acoustic guitar are as follows, remember, capo on
fret.
The rhythm and timing is pretty simple really.

Verse:

G Am F Am X 3

G
“I have decided…”

Chorus:

C Am D7 F/ E7
“I’m throwing my arms around, around Paris,

Am C E F
Because, only stone and steel, accept my love”

Hope this is okay, I don’t think I’ve missed anything out.
Any feedback or corrections are appreciated.

Thank you!
I think the track on the video has been sped up ever so slightly from the original recording on the album, which does make it sound at a higher pitch, so if you want to play it in key with the video it is at third fret, however, the song was originally recorded with the capo at second on the album, I'm pretty certain of that.

Yes well done, but isn't the 3rd chord on "jesse plays" section wrong? F is 123, not 657 :)
