No Oath, No Spell by Murder By Death, murderbydeath.com
From the Album "Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon"
Tabbed by Justin Silliker (axeface@gmail.com)

This tab is based off an acoustic version done for the "Violitionist Sessions." It's off
their upcoming record "Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon" out Sept. 25, 2012 on Bloodshot
Records. They've been playing this song for awhile live and this is as accurate as I can
get it. I'm tossed up about a few of the chords in the song, I don't believe it's
always an Em
throughout and the "F5" is questionable.

Please feel free to submit any revisions or at least submit a corrected version of the
song. But otherwise enjoy!

Standard Tuning

F5 - 224434
Em* "walkdown" - 022000, 022002, 022003

Em C G D
An old crow, spoke to me,
Em C G D
Busted leg, limp down the street
 C G F5 Em
Said we're both tied, to our own trees
C Am Em
Cut me loose, cut me loose
Em C G D
Saw the deer before it saw me
Em C G D
It didn't change anything
C G F5 Em
Glassy eyes showed me whats to come
C Am Em
Cut me loose, spare me from this

Em B7 C G D
Little beast, are you wild as me
Em B7 C G D
Left some teeth in your enemies
C G
We won't be broken
         B7 Em
There's no curse we haven't spoken
 C Am Em
There is no oath, there is no spell
C Am Em
To deliver us, to make us well

E, C, G, B7 (x3)
E, Am, D, B7
Em, Open,

Em C G D
Old woman, tell me why did you lie
       Em
So long in your hospital bed
         C G D
With the spark gone from your eyes
C G F5 Em
We both know, theres nowhere to go
C Am Em
It's cast off, you and I

Em B7 C G D
Old grief, are you wild as me
Em B7 C G D
Left some teeth buried in your enemies
C G
We won't be broken
          B7 Em
Theres no curse we haven't spoken
C Am Em
There is no oath, there is no spell
C Am Em
To deliver us, so hell
C Am G D B7
Cut me loose, I wish you well
C Am Em *
No oath, no spell
C Am G D Em
No prayer, and no hell but the one you make
C Am E
It's cast off and turned tail

Nice job. This is almost exactly what I have. Just one thing, I believe it should be Bm where you have F5.

Hey thanks so much for the comment. I think my F5 is essentially the same thing with the bass note added. Check this video out and let me know what you think....
