Nada Surf
"Fruit Fly" from "Let Go"

tabbed by Dan Farrelly (dfarr@udel.edu)

this song is tabbed using a video of Matt Caws himself showing how to play the song...so
recommend

reading the tab and watching the video it is a very easy song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A25ozbKh2iY

Standard Tuning: EADGBe

Intro:
You just leave your index finger on the 6th fret and play the notes on the 7th with your middle

finger.

e-----------------------------------|
B-----------------------------------|
G-----------------------------------|
D--------------------------------6--|
A--------6-6-6-7---------6-6-6-7----|
E--0-7-0-----------0-7-0------------|

"I saw a swarm of..." part:
To get the right sound play these chords by hitting the side of your thumb against the
down

by the bridge (this is where the video is helpful).

e-----------|
B-----------|
G--2--1--4--|
D--4--2--4--|
A--4--2--2--|
E-----------|

Then when the song picks up play those same 3 chords just strum them using the pick.
to the

song for when to change chords. Thats it.
