Paper Champion

I know some people don't like using big time sigs like 8/4, 9/4 and 10/4
But it's the neatest way of tabbing it out I found.
If it helps, count the 9/4 as (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5), that's what I do.

Listen carefully for the timing and when to mute.

Time sig changes in brackets.

Intro/Verse:

 (8/4)
F:-----------:
C:-----------:
G:-----------: X2
C:---0-------:

 (9/4)
F:-----------:-----------:
C:-----------:-----------:
G:-----------:-----------: x8
C:---0-------:---0-5-8---:

"Still..."

F:-----------:-----------:
C:-----------:-----------:
G:-----------:-----------:
C:---0-------:---0-5-8---:

F:-----------:-----------:-----------:
C:-----------:-----------:-----------:
G:-----------:-----------:-----------:
C:---0-------:---0-------:---0-5-8---:

Heavier Bit:

F:-----------:-----------:
C:-----------:-----------:
G:-----------:-----------: x2
C:---0-------:---0-5-8---:

Use distortion on the long open C only.
Don't mute it either.
On the record it goes up an octave
doesn't sound like a slide though, might be a studio effect.
when i do it i touch the string at the 12'th fret while
it's ringing, to do a sort of hammer-on harmonic.

"Severed Tongues...":

F:-----------:-----------:
C:-----------:-----------:
G:-----------:-----------: x2
C:---0-------:---0-5-8---:

"Soon to be rendered obsolete...":

F:------------------:------------------:
C:------------------:------------------:
G:------------------:------------------:
C:--5-5--5-5--0-0---:--8-8--8-8--------:

Heavier bit:

F:-----------:-----------:
C:-----------:-----------:
G:-----------:-----------: x4
C:---0-------:---0-5-8---:

Again distortion on the long open C only.
Mute it this time though and no pitch change.

Rest for a while.
