This is a great song by Old Crow Medicine Show.
All the verses and solos have the same chord structure as
the first verse.

             D A
I hear the crying of the hungry in the deserts where they're wandering

Yeah, they're crying out for heavens own benevolence upon them

I hear the tender words from Zion
I hear Noah's waterfall
hear the gentle lamb of Juda sleeping at the feet of Buddah
And the prophets from Elijah to the old ?youth? Provoca

Thanks for posting the chords. I think the lyrics go like this, though:

I hear the crying of the hungry in the deserts where they're wandering
HEAR THEM crying out for heaven's own benevolence upon them
Hear destructive power prevailing, I hear fools FALSELY hailing
To the crooked WITS of tyrants when they call
I hear them all, I hear them all, I hear them all

I hear the sounds of tearing pages and the roar of burning paper
All the crimes and acquisition turn to air and ASHEN VAPOR
And the RATTLE of the shackle FAR BEYOND EMANCIPATOR
And lowliest WHO GATHER in their stalls
I hear them all, I hear them all, I hear them all

So while YOU SIT AND WHISTLE dixie with your money and your power
I can hear the flowers a growing in the rubble of the towers
I hear leaders quit their lying, I hear babys quit their crying
I hear soldiers quit their dying one and all
I hear them all, I hear them all, I hear them all

I hear the tender words from Zion, I hear Noah's waterfall
Hear the gentle lamb of Juda sleeping at the feet of Buddah
And the prophets from Elijah to the OLD PAUITE WOVAKA
Take their places at the table when they're called
I hear them all, I hear them all, I hear them all

Nice job! It's cool to hear a version that doesn't use a capo. This is a great way to enhance another guitar playing with a capo on the second fret.

P.S. The following link will give you info on Wovoka the Paiute indian medicine man they're referring to in this song.
