“The Saltwater Room"- OWL CITY
[CAPO ON 5TH FRET]
Em C G
I opened my eyes last night and saw you in the low light
Em C
Walking down by the bay, on the shore
Em G
staring up at the planes that aren’t there anymore
Em C G C
I was feeling the night grow old and you were looking so cold
Em C Em
Like an introvert, I drew my over shirt
G Em
Around my arms and began to shiver violently before
C G C
You happened to look and see the tunnels all around me
Em C Em
Running into the dark underground
G Em
All the subways around create a great sound
C G
To my motion fatigue: farewell
Em C
With your ear to a seashell
Em
You can hear the waves in underwater caves
C G
As if you actually were inside a saltwater room
(D, Em, C D, Em, G)
CHORUS:
Em C G
Time together is just never quite enough
C Em
When you and I are alone, I’ve never felt so at home
C G
What will it take to make or break this hint of love?
C
We need time, only time
Em C G
When we’re apart whatever are you thinking of?
C Em
If this is what I call home, why does it feel so alone?
C G
So tell me darling, do you wish we’d fall in love?
C
All the time, all the time
Em C G
Can you believe that the crew has gone and wouldn’t let me sign on?
Em C Em G
All my islands have sunk in the deep, so I can hardly relax or even oversleep
Em C G Em C
I feel as if I were home some nights when we count all the ship lights
Em
I guess I’ll never know why sparrows love the snow
C G
We’ll turn off all of the lights and set this ballroom aglow
REPEAT CHORUS
isn't there supposed to be a c at the end of the first line? likeem-c-g-c?
not really on at all. play it with the song and not the chaos.

...it's not even in the right key. go watch a video of them play it live you don't even need a capo... the chords on the album version are just variations of F C and Am.
add a G on the high e when you play the F chord and then an
E like this:
and then...using your ear...add a D and then back to the C for the C chord...
if you were smart. you'd just leave your first finger on the first fret of the b string the whole time and switch the 2nd and 3rd fingers all up on string...
hope this helps.
