Song: No Bad News
Artist: Patty Griffin
Album: Children Running Through

Another cracker from Patty!
I learned this pretty much off her performance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show (on YouTube
needed)
I have a feeling she uses a different kind of tuning when playing because she strums
strings for a lot of it but I cant figure out what it is. If anyone can, let me know! This
right anyway..

         C
Don't bring me bad news, no bad news
                                     G C-G
I don't need none of your bad news today
              C
You're a sad little boy, anyone can see you're just a sad little boy
                                  G C-G
That's why you're carrying on that way
                        D
          C
Why don't you burn it all down, burn your own house down, burn your own house down
                    G C-G
Try to kill your own disease
                C
And leave the rest of us, there's a lot of us, leave the rest of us
                                  G C-G
Who wanna live in peace to live in peace

----Riff x2

       C
I'm gonna find me a man, love him so well,
love him so strong, love him so slow
                                             G C-G
We're gonna go way beyond the walls of this fortress
  C
And we won't be afraid, we won't be afraid,
and though the darkness may come our way
                                  G C-G
We won't be afraid to be alive anymore
              D C
And we'll grow kindness in our hearts for all the strangers among us
G
Till there are no strangers anymore

---Riff and Solo

C
Don't bring me bad news, no bad news
                                 G C-G
I don't need none of your bad news today
C
You can't have my fear, I've got nothing to lose,
can't have my fear
                                G C-G
I'm not getting out of here alive anyway
 D C
And I don't need none of these things, I don't need none of these things
           G C-G
I've been handed
         C
And the bird of peace is flying over, she's flying over and
                     G C-G
Coming in for a landing

capo 6. tune both E strings down to a D.Tune the A string down to a G.play the riff on the B string. for the C chord you only need a finger on the 1st fret of the B string and a finger on the second fret of the real D string. the G is an open chprd.have fun!
