Hi there! This is a lovely song by
Paul McDonald and Nikki Reed:)They are so
cute together!

*Okay so the intro. The (oA) is just picking the
open A string and then right into strumming the D
chord. If you listen to the song while you play,
you will get the rhythm of it.
That same rhythm using the (oA) before each D
chord will continue through each verse (not the
chorus or bridge.)*

NOTE-
This was tabbed to the recorded track from the CD.

**If you have watched the live versions of Paul and Nikki
playing this, you'll notice that these aren't the chords
they use. That's because Paul is not in standard tuning.
This standard tuning version will play right along with
the live versions that I've seen but I don't know about
all of them! I'd imagine that it would:)

In the videos I've seen, Paul deliberately detunes his guitar an entire step and then capos on the 2nd fret effectively bringing the guitar back to standard tuning. He then proceeds to play in the key of F - the chords F, C and G (with the occasional Am thrown in). The only reason I can think of to do this is to make it more difficult for people to figure out his chording, kind of like metal bands did in the 80's by detuning their electric guitars 1/2 step. By playing the tab above (key of D capoed on the 3rd fret) you're also playing in the key of F which is why this works with the CD.

So instead of using a capo at all (and playing D/A/E) I recommend you just remove your capo altogether and play F/C/G instead. You can transpose the other chords easily enough ;-)
