Tabbed by AC Glee This is how I've been playing this but: 1) this is my first ever attempt to submit tab 2) I have only recently started playing bass (previously lead guitar) 3) Haven't heard this song in years - worked it out from memory Emphasize the fretted notes over the open A string throughout - vibrato and subtle can be used to give a fretless bass sound. Keep the feel loose and the slides up to the 12th 10th frets smooth. 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & G|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A/12----0-9-----0-10----0-11---12-|------0-3-----0-5-5-----0---/12-| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & G|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|------0-3-----0-5-----5-3------0|5-----5-3-----0-5----5--5------/| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| Chorus: (slide up to first note) 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & G|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|10---10-10---10-10---10-10--10--|------0-3-----0-5-5-----0------/| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & G|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|10----0-3-----0-5-----5-3------0|5-----5-3-----0-5-----5-5-----5/| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| post-chorus: 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & G|-------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|------------------------12--10-|--------------------------------| A|/12---------------------12--10-|-------------------------------/| E|-------------------------------|--------------------------------| 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & G|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| D|--------------------------------|--------------------------------| A|12----0-3-----0-5-----5-3------0|5-----5-3-----0-5-----5-5-----5/| E|--------------------------------|--------------------------------|
Good work. Maybe a few little tweaks could be made and it would be perfect but it's still pretty accurate. Also I think it's played lower down on the fretboard but not that it makes much difference. Still it works fine so well done mate.
I didn't expect much after reading your introduction, but alas, I thought I'd preserver and give you a chance. Who knows, maybe you are a virtuoso with a photographic memory who can transcribe music without actually listening to it. But no, my initial doubts were proven correct. The whole beginning is completely way off! There is no slide down from the 12th, and it doesn't simply go up from the 9th to the 10th to the 11th fret like that either. And don't get me started on the rest of it! This might sound harsh, but why submit a tab you have written from memory? At least double check it first so you don't waste your time writing it and posting it, and then waste the time of other people who read it. One star is one star too many. Stick with the lead guitar.
