I don't think there are 2 guitars. In fact, the exact tuning is E/A/D/G/B/B, as in most placebo songs. This produces a "wider" sound, giving the feeling there are another guitar. Try playing B -0 -0
B -0 -0
G -4 then -3
D -5 -4
A -5 -4
E -3 -2
